Ways to Give

Matching Gifts

Your employer may have a matching gift program that will match or even triple charitable contributions you make to nonprofit organizations. Check with your Human Resources department to learn if your employer does this and how you can participate. There is usually a form you will need to fill out and send to us to acquire the match. Thank you for taking the time to do this to increase the donation amount to Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc.

Planned Giving: Legacy Society

Join our Center Stage Legacy Society!

Your contribution to the Center Stage Legacy Society helps ensure that the West Shore Theatre can continue far into the future, creating memories for generations to come. Your gifts through your will, retirement plan, paid insurance, property donation, appreciated stock, or designated plan will enable audiences to continue enjoying educational programs, music, theatre, and of course, the cinema.

If you are interested in further information about how you can include Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc. in your estate plans, or if you have already included us in your estate plan, please let us know.

Endowment

What is an endowment? An endowment is a program established by a nonprofit organization to set up a fund or funds that are invested very conservatively, usually 60/40% to ensure that they are safe for years into the future. Your donations designated for endowment will benefit the future of Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc.

Donations you designate for endowment, either through planned giving or annual giving, are placed in these restricted funds with the intention that the corpus of the money will never be used, that only a percentage of the funds will be used on an annual basis for program. The percentage is determined by the board of directors, usually around 4%, but may change over time. This is meant to have the corpus grow in line with inflation to maintain the fund value over time for use by Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc.

Please reach out if you have questions about how you can donate to our endowment or to let us know you have planned endowment funds for Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc. in your estate plans.
